For Immediate Release

WATERTOWN HELPS OUT IS BACK!   IT’S BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER!

The Watertown Community Foundation (WCF) announces  Watertown Helps Out is returning after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. WHO22 will be taking place all over the city and during the entire month of May. Along with local sponsors and dozens of neighbors, WCF will be out in the community volunteering to make Watertown a vibrant place to live and work for all.

Originally started in 2014 as a way for our community members to help support our neighbors after Watertown was touched by the marathon bombings, it has now become a mainstay and beloved springtime event.

We are thrilled to be able to provide volunteers to some of our most cherished institutions such as the Watertown Boys & Girls Club, The Perkins School for the Blind, the Charles River Conservancy, both food pantries and community fridge located in town and the Watertown Public Schools to name just a few.  Volunteer projects range from river and garden clean-ups to food drives and hands on time supporting Watertown students.

If you would like to volunteer please take a peek at all of the opportunities available in the month of May. We’re looking forward to a fantastic WHO22!

We depend on our amazing community to make this all happen from our volunteers to sponsors.  Many thanks to our major sponsors:

Kymera Therapeutics, Sira Naturals, Watertown Savings Bank, and Arranta Bio.

There’s still time for additional sponsorships too!
