Reducing Barriers to Participation for Watertown’s Student Athletes
The Watertown Community Foundation offers grants to help pay for participation and equipment for student athletes who otherwise can’t afford to play. Grant requests from eligible organizations may cover need during any time during 2025.
Examples of programs eligible for Youth Sports Leagues Grants include:
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a Youth Sports Leagues Grant, organizations must be public entities, nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, or an organization that is affiliated with a 501(c)(3) organization. Organizations must:
Be based in Watertown and serve the city’s residents or, if based outside of Watertown, can document an existing partnership with an organization that directly serves Watertown residents AND
Provide a program or service to the community.
2025 Timeline:
Beginning of February: Call for Applications
End of February: Applications due to WCF
End of March: Applicants Notified of Grant Decisions
December: Final Grantee Reports Due to WCF

Previous grant recipients will only be considered after completing the Grantee Reporting Form for the prior year’s grant.

Applicants will receive an email confirmation after your proposal is received.
The 2024 Grant Cycle has closed. The next grant cycle will be in February 2025.
