Supporting New or Existing Programs with Broad Educational Focus
The Watertown Community Foundation offers grants for new or existing programs with an educational focus (broadly defined) that are run by local organizations that serve Watertown, and are not offered through Watertown’s public schools.
Examples of programs eligible for Program Grants include:
Arts, technology, and cultural programs
Environmentally focused programs
Historical preservation education projects
Educational programs for the elderly
Job-search or other related skills training
Events/programs for infants and their families
Eligibility Criteria
Organizations must be public entities or nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and meet the following criteria to be eligible for a Program Grant:
Serves Watertown residents or can document an existing partnership with an organization that serves Watertown residents AND
Provides a program or service to the community.
Eligible organizations may apply for grants of $500 to $5,000.
Timeline
Beginning of April: Request for Proposals Posted
End of April: Applications Due
May: Applicants Notified
Submission Instructions
Previous grant recipients will only be considered after completing the Grantee Reporting Form for the prior year’s grant.
Applications must be completed online. Click on the “APPLY” button at the top of this page.
Applicants will receive an email confirmation after your proposal is received.

GRANT REPORTING FORM
Please click on the button to fill out information related to your grant for our records. Please submit this report within 30 days of completion of the grant-related project. Institutional, Block Party and High School Internship Grants do not fill out this form.
